My therapeutic foundation is rational
emotive behavioral therapy or REBT. REBT is a therapeutic approach which
examines the beliefs and emotions an individual attaches to an event to gain
insight into how those beliefs and emotions are currently effecting the
individual or family in a non-productive manner.
My experience includes
counseling pregnant and parenting teens at a local school district; intake
specialist and adolescent group counselor at a psychiatric hospital, and family
youth specialist for a foster care agency.
Additional work experience
includes: CPS (currently DFPS), Sheriff's Department, and Juvenile
Detention.
