My therapeutic foundation is rational emotive behavioral therapy or REBT.  REBT is a therapeutic approach which examines the beliefs and emotions an individual attaches to an event to gain insight into how those beliefs and emotions are currently effecting the individual or family in a non-productive manner.

My experience includes counseling pregnant and parenting teens at a local school district; intake specialist and adolescent group counselor at a psychiatric hospital, and family youth specialist for a foster care agency.

Additional work experience includes:  CPS (currently DFPS), Sheriff's Department, and Juvenile Detention.

My therapeutic foundation is Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)  Together, we will identify your strengths and generate solutions in order to achieve your preferred future.

I have spent the last 17 years as an educator and school counselor for a large urban school district which entailed individual counseling, group counseling, play therapy, and parenting classes.  I have also worked in public and private agencies providing counseling to foster parents and children, families, and adults.
